I made this card for the current color challenge over at My Favorite Things. I love this new "Space Explorer" set! So cute! On this card I used just the Space Explorer stamps and fussy-cut the images. For my planet I did some ink blending and cut out the panel with the My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo Polka Dot coverplate die, then cut a circle of it with My Favorite Things Circle Stax 2 die set. I backed the polka dot planet with another piece of ink blended paper sprayed with Sheer Shimmer Spritz. All of the color application on the astronaut and spaceship was done on Bristol Smooth card stock with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I applied Glossy accents to the spaceman's visor and the window in the spaceship. For some sparkle and shine on his suit I used a clear glitter pen and some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. He is on an action wobbler. The sky I created using Bazzill Card Shop card stock in Licorice Twist, sprayed with Shimmer Mist and splattered with some white paint. Add a few star sequins in the sky and call it done! Oh! I used a little bit of twine for his "life line". I ran it through some Multi Medium Mat and wound it around a pen and left it to dry and then attached it to the spaceman and behind the sentiment strip. All the other elements (planet, spaceship and sentiment) are popped-up with either foam tape or craft foam. This was a fun one to make!
